Does the Sabbath even exist in North America?

Boundless Line: Remember the Sabbath: “Through Sabbath-keeping, we experienced the truth that God’s love for us isn’t based on what we do.”

Here’s a great article, reminding us of our need to take a break at least once through the week. God created the Sabbath shortly after He created humans… maybe there’s a connection there. (more…)

Here’s one tough duck! So much for supper. They should call him Nemo.

World Music + Christian Direction :: RELEVANT MAGAZINE

I have been living my life faithful to God (with increasing maturity over the years) since I was about seventeen years old. And ever since then I have struggled with this whole deal about secular music, or rather what might not be considered edifying to a Christian. (more…)

Poor with Jesus :: RELEVANT MAGAZINE

Now here’s an article that rings true with my heart. As God has truly pressed upon my heart a desire to help out those who have nothing, I am touched by an article like this that exclaims our need to provide for physical needs–whether it be before or after you share the Gospel, we need to provide for physical needs (more…)

I want to see this movie. It sounds good. And I always like films that talk about hope, or a lack thereof.

Boundless Line: So Cooked They’re Burnt

Here’s an article that explains once again the horrible bending and interpretation of research numbers that have been used to make our society believe that our traditional institutions have fallen apart completely. How do we know really who to trust and what numbers are legit? Perhaps can have a little faith in the numbers we don’t see–divorce isn’t as prevalent and “popular” as liberal society would like for us to believe.

Beliefwatch: Challenging the Existence of God – Newsweek Periscope – MSNBC.com : “BlasphemyChallenge.com”

Check out this article from Newsweek that describes a challenge currently being pursued by many using YouTube to promote it. A website called The Blasphemy Challenge adamantly states “Do you have a soul you’re not using?” and “Believe in God? We can fix that” suggesting to visitors that they take on their challenge by (more…)

Boundless Line: Middle East Muslims Turn to Christ

Here’s a great article that references a few postings on a firsthand experience by someone who works among Muslims in the Middle East. The author talks about people coming to Christ. More people have come to Christ in the past 5, 10, 15 years in the Middle East than ever before. Now I am sure population increases has made a (more…)

Apple’s New Calling: The iPhone — Tuesday, Jan. 09, 2007 — TIME

So I’m a big Apple fan. I write my posts on my little Macbook. …there! I said it!

So because of this, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to point out the introduction of a brand new piece of electronic history-in-the-making-technology in the announcement of the coming iPhone from Apple. (more…)

CTV.ca | Oprah gets HIV test, urges others to follow suit

I hate to be nitpicky and that I should just be happy that celebrities continue to further the cause of the issues many African nations face. But here is Oprah Winfrey who built a girls school in South Africa. Great! I’m glad.

But 152 students? Does she have any idea (more…)

CTV.ca | Scientists discover new source of stem cells

So I guess they found another way to create regenerating cells within humans without using embryos. Read the article. My question would be then, if this kind of power is found within the amniotic fluid surrounding the growing embryo, are those cells considered “possible human lives” as well, in the same way that embryos (more…)

CTV.ca | Canadian radio station to hit Afghan airwaves

Here’s an interesting idea. The Canadian Armed Forces have begun to operate a radio station to be broadcasted to the Afghanistan public, aimed at people between the ages of 15 to 25, playing music considered to be “on the edge.” The author states within the article that the station will not be used for propaganda… but I find that (more…)
