Watch this video. It’s hilarious, and sad all at the same time. Viewer beware, there is one swear word, and of course plenty of blasphemy.

Airport Tests Candid X-Ray Machine — TIME

This TIME article tells the story of an airport in Phoenix that has just recently acquired a new machine to test for security. The machine is used to scan people who fail to pass through metal detectors and reject a ‘pat-down’ by security officers. The x-ray machine can actually see through clothes to see if the person is concealing ‘anything.’ For some reason I can see issues with such technology in the future.

Jesus: Tales from the Crypt – The Middle East Blog – TIME

So apparently James Cameron, our own Canadian director/producer is producing a documentary film on some coffins that were exhumed in the 90s that Cameron claims are the bodies of Jesus and His family members, thus stating that Jesus never resurrected. Interesting… anything for publicity. Although I must say that from that standpoint, this is a great idea to make some money.

Bringing a Difference :: RELEVANT MAGAZINE

Do you ever look at the state of the world and wonder how anything could be done to make it better? Having lived in Africa, it was not hard to become overwhelmed by the poverty and surreal hopelessness people exist within. I was left wondering how one person like me could even begin to help so many. This RELEVANT article relays a great deal of what I feel and resolved in.

Of course we are going to feel despair at what difference we can “make” in the world amongst the images on our TV of millions of suffering people, if we depend on our own resources, wisdom and power. Yet as Temples of the Holy Spirit, when someone asks us or when we wonder what we can offer the millions of people in extreme need, we no longer have to look to ourselves and despair, but instead look to the One who inhabits us and realize He is the difference. Yes it’s easier to change the channel than change the world. Yet when we “bring the difference:” God Himself, into the impoverished communities and back alleys of our world, we are able to live and provide through the power of the One who fed thousands of people from a packed lunch.

How wonderful it is to not have to rely upon our own power to try and make a difference in the world. Rather we rely upon God… the Creator of the Earth… sustainer of all human beings, to help us fulfill what He has already determined within His great plan. This obviously takes faith. But the weight upon my shoulders remains much lighter.

Not For Sale Campaign

Check out the video. Check out the website. Support the cause in anyway you can. Considering it’s us consumers who support such things, that is the need to produce products that we eventually buy here in the West, we should be doing something to work against it as well.
